FOR ATTORNEYS ADMITTED TO THE U.S. DISTRICT COURT BAR

In accordance with the Standing Order for the District Court Fund, an annual registration fee of $25.00 is due by January 15th of each year, for attorneys who have been  members of the Bar of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware for more than five years as of January 1, whose membership is in good standing, and who wish to maintain their admission in active status.

In early December each year, attorneys, who owe the fee and are registered e-filers in CM/ECF, will receive an e-mail reminder notice regarding the upcoming annual fee collection period. The collection period typically runs from the first week in December through January 15th.  For those active bar members who are not registered ECF filers, a reminder is posted on the District Court‘s web site under News and Announcements.  

During the annual collection period noted in a separate NOTICE, credit card payments may be submitted via CM/ECF in increments of 1 to10, 20 or 50 attorneys at a time by using case 88mc8888, and selecting the appropriate event code from the supplemental admission fee menu.  The event for paying 1-10 attorney fees requests the filer to enter each attorney’s full name and bar ID number.  The events for paying either 20 or 50 attorney fees requires that a list (in pdf) of attorney names and their bar ID numbers be attached.  Case 88mc8888 is not available for public viewing via PACER, but rather a depositary for supplemental admission fee payments.  

In the alternative, payment by cash, check, or money order, payable to Clerk, U.S. District Court, 844 N. King Street, Unit 18, Room 4209, Wilmington, DE 19801, will also be accepted  during the collection period, and is the only method of payment authorized after January 15th each year. All payments should include the attorney’s name and Delaware bar ID number.
