Qualifications for Appointment to Position of U.S. Magistrate Judge for the District of Delaware
 
In reference to the Court’s November 16, 2018 Order Appointing Merit Selection Panel,
potential applicants for the Position of U.S Magistrate Judge for the District of Delaware should
be aware that the “Minimum Qualifications” for the position are set out in 28 U.S.C. § 631.
 
In addition to the requirements set out in the statute referenced above, the Court has
determined that while Delaware Bar membership and Delaware residency are preferred
qualifications, neither is required.
