Fellowship Program
 

     The United States District Court for the District of Delaware is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications for its High School Summer Fellowship Program for Summer 2019.

     Students accepted into this program will work for five weeks, beginning on July 1, 2019 and ending on August 2, 2019. They will work in chambers with Judges of the District Court and/or with other federal employees who work with the Court. The fellows will also have the opportunity to observe District Court proceedings, meet leaders in the Delaware legal system and interact with assigned mentors who are attorneys in the District. The fellows will be paid $350 per week, or $1,750 for the five-week program.
 
     Students who will be sophomores, juniors or seniors in a New Castle County, Delaware high school in the 2019-2020 school year, and who are either U. S. Citizens or Green Card holders, are eligible to apply to the program. Those interested in applying to the program should submit (by mail or e-mail): (1) the completed application; (2) their school transcript; and (3) at least one letter of recommendation (though the student may submit more than one) from either a teacher or other counselor at their school.

Applications are due no later than March 29, 2019. Applicants may be asked to participate in an interview process before final selection decisions are made.
