Electronic Filing of Presentence Investigation Reports and Objections to Presentence Investigation Reports

Monday, December 9, 2013

Effective Monday, January 6, 2014,  the U.S. Probation Office for the District of Delaware will electronically file Presentence Investigation Reports (PSI) using the Case Management/Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system.  The assigned Judge, prosecutor, and defense attorney will receive the report electronically.  Attorneys will have the opportunity to electronically file objections to the PSI through CM/ECF. Instructions for filing objections are posted on the Court’s website.  A docket entry will appear for any PSI and/or objection filed but all such documents will be restricted from public viewing.  Only the assigned Judge, counsel, and probation staff will have access to the document(s).  Unless directed otherwise by the Court, hard copies of all efiled PSIs and objections must be provided to the Chambers of the Judge assigned to the case.
